Yadkin County Head on Collision

YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. -- Five people, including two adults and three children, were injured Monday morning in a head-on crash along Old 421 at Andrew Road.

Troopers said a vehicle crossed over the center line, causing the collision.

An unnamed adult in that vehicle was taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center to be treated for injuries, troopers said..

An adult and two children in the second vehicle were taken by ambulance to WFUBMC. A third child with more serious injuries was taken to WFUBMC by helicopter, troopers said.

The children were ages 2, 3, and 4, troopers said. The nature of the injuries wasn't immediately known. Troopers didn't say if charges would be filed.
